[catsoop-dev] Allow returning attempts after syntax errors in expressions

Hello CAT-SOOP maintainers,

I'd like to try to fix catsoop/catsoop#16
<https://catsoop.org/git/catsoop/catsoop/issues/16>. Here's a patch of what
I changed (untested) - let me know if this is architecturally what you're
looking for and I'll test this and make the change more complete. Thanks!
