to fund established community groups or those that have outgrown the SoS Dean’s Quality of Life Grants,<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>and we will also consider supporting relatively<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>inexpensive one-time
events.<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>Events seeking support should be targeted to the Biology Department community and be aligned with our mission to advance biology-related research, education, and service. The department head will make final
funding decisions, with advice and input from senior department staff. With this new process, we aim to allocate limited funds<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>in a systematic and equitable fashion and better track funding allocations and outcomes. <span class="apple-converted-space"> </span></span><o:p></o:p></p>
