that contribute to the welfare of society. The emphasis is on using machine learning and optimization methods in innovative ways using real world data. Methods that will be used include: linear and discrete optimization, linear and logistic regression, optimal
classification and regression trees, deep learning, random forests and boosted trees. Projects will utilize Julia, Jump and Tensor Flow. Assessment will be based on projects including a capstone project.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
