from Colombia, Dr. Caicedo has been given several awards including the African Colombian of the Year in Science & Technology and in Academia twice as well as Mayor's Civic Merit Medal of California (awarded directly by the President of Colombia). In this
week's seminar, he will discuss the triumph and struggle of African South Americans in the U.S.
