<p class="MsoNormal">What is Cell Ag @ MITt? We’ll give a short presentation on what the field of cellular agriculture is and what our group is doing to bring it to MIT. Following a talk by one of the field’s leading experts, Dr. David Kaplan, we’ll hang out
in Gathertown to chat with anyone interested.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The Kaplan Lab of Tufts University is home to a range of cellular agriculture projects, from cultivated meat with enhanced nutrition profiles (beta-carotene bacon, anyone?), to managing the behavior of cultivated cells for large scale production
(without genetic engineering), to cultivated insect meat (it’s less picky to grow than mammalian cultures). In addition, Dr. Kaplan is chair of the NIH’s Biomaterials and Biointerfaces Study Section, and his group has produced the first course on cellular
agriculture at Tufts.<o:p></o:p></p>
