 (ENS), a complex neuronal network whose principal function is to maintain normal intestinal motility. Congenital abnormalities of the ENS are responsible for severe gastrointestinal disorders in childhood, including Hirschsprung’s disease, intestinal pseudo-obstruction,
 and other causes of&nbsp;dysmotility. As a research technician, your time will be spent performing experimental techniques including&nbsp;immunohistochemistry, mouse and chick embryo dissection, and polymerase chain reaction (PCR). There are also many opportunities
 to shadow physicians including Dr.&nbsp;Allan&nbsp;Goldstein,&nbsp;who is Surgeon-in-Chief and Chief of Pediatric Surgery at&nbsp;Mass General Hospital for Children, in the clinic and in the operating room.</span><o:p></o:p></span></p>
