</span><span style="font-size:9.5pt;font-family:"monospace","serif"">Our lab studies human genome variation and its influence on neurons and disease. We are particularly interested in understanding how genome variation influences gene expression and neural
circuits. We work at the interface between human/mouse genetics and neurobiology, using molecular biology to understand fundamental questions of brain function.<br>

We are seeking an experienced laboratory technician who can help us to meet ambitious research goals.<br>
<br>
The successful candidate for this position will work with scientists in the lab to help develop and deploy new molecular techniques for analyzing the cellular composition and synaptic organization of the mouse brain. This person will maintain a colony of transgenic
mice and study these mice with approaches such as: recombinant viral engineering/packaging; stereotactic transcranial injection; histology; next-generation genome sequencing; quantitative and digital PCR; extraction and quantitative analysis of DNA and RNA;
molecular cloning. This candidate may also present research findings; help to train others on new techniques base; and perform other related laboratory tasks in support of the broad functioning and success of the laboratory.<br>
Basic QualificationsCollege background with at least one year of diverse lab experience. Demonstrated abilities in lab techniques.</span><span style="font-size:9.5pt"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
