Fellows share in the prestige and opportunities that become available when they are selected. Fellows benefit from a three-year annual stipend of $32,000 along with a $12,000 cost of education allowance for tuition and fees (paid to the institution), opportunities
 for international research and professional development, and the freedom to conduct their own research at any accredited U.S. institution of graduate education they choose.</div>

The Graduate Fellowship Award is based on merit (not need) and consists of a cost-of-education allowance and a personal-support stipend.</div>

We do not support students pursuing advanced professional degrees other than the Ph.D., such as enrollees in M.D., LLD or MBA programs, although we will support the Ph.D. portion of a joint M.D./Ph.D. study program. For a list of general fields of study in

<b>Hertz Fellowship Application</b></div>
<div style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size:11pt; font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">
The annual competition for Graduate Fellowships begins with the application period which opens each year in August at which time a deadline consistent with those of NSF and other fellowship granting organizations will be posted. Only those applications which
 are complete, with all supporting materials and documents provided (including Reference Reports) by the posted deadline will be assured of full consideration by the Foundation. Untimely or incompletely-submitted applications will be entertained only at the
 Foundation's discretion and convenience.</div>

Each year's competition concludes at the end of the following March, at which time the Foundation's Board of Directors determines the most highly qualified Fellowship applicants and the number of new Fellowships which available resources will be able to support.</div>

The Dissertation Fellowship Program seeks to encourage a new generation of scholars from a wide range of disciplines and professional fields to undertake research relevant to the improvement of education. These $25,000 fellowships support individuals whose
 dissertations show potential for bringing fresh and constructive perspectives to the history, theory, or practice of formal or informal education anywhere in the world.</div>

This highly competitive program aims to identify the most talented researchers conducting dissertation research related to education. The Dissertation Fellowship program receives many more applications than it can fund. This year, up to 600 applications are

 are not intended to finance data collection or the completion of doctoral coursework, but rather to support the final analysis of the research topic and the writing of the dissertation. For this reason, all applicants must document that they will have completed
 all pre-dissertation requirements by June 1, 2015 and must provide a clear and specific plan for completing the dissertation within a one or two-year time frame.</div>

 research opportunity is expected to advance the graduate students’ overall doctoral thesis while providing access to the expertise, resources, and capabilities available at the DOE laboratories. The supplemental award provides for additional, incremental costs

Announcement: The American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education (AAHHE), Inc. is now accepting applications for the AAHHE Graduate Student Fellows Program (GSFP) for the 2015 AAHHE National Conference &quot;The Decade Ahead: Inquire, Innovate, Impact&quot;. The
 conference will be held March 12-14, 2015, at the Embassy Suites Dallas - Frisco Hotel, Frisco, Texas. Participation in the fellowship program will begin on Wednesday March 11th, continue throughout the conference, and end at noon on Saturday March 14th.</div>

<b>AAHHE Multidisciplinary Graduate Student Fellowship Applicants must meet the following qualifications:</b></div>

Be enrolled in full-time or part-time graduate study in a doctoral program;</li><li class="x_MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size:11pt; font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">
Demonstrate academic potential through past experiences and future career goals;</li><li class="x_MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size:11pt; font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">
Aspire to enter the college/university professoriate and/or administration;</li><li class="x_MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size:11pt; font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">

Be willing to actively participate in and commit to attend every GSFP event.</li></ul>

<b>The AAHHE Multidisciplinary Graduate Student Fellowship includes</b><span class="x_Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span>conference registration fees, special events, hotel accommodations, and travel funding. AAHHE will extend invitations to 20 fully funded students.</div>

<b>Graduate Fellowship recipients are expected to engage throughout the conference through the following:</b></div>

Formally present your research to other AAHHE Graduate Fellows in the Graduate Research Symposium and/or in a general conference poster session</li><li class="x_MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size:11pt; font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">
Provide staffing support for AAHHE activities and interact with AAHHE members and conference attendees;</li><li class="x_MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size:11pt; font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">
Engage in informal discussions on research interests with AAHHE members;</li><li class="x_MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size:11pt; font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">

The Michigan Society of Fellows was founded in 1970 through grants from the Ford Foundation and Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies for the purpose of promoting academic and creative excellence in the humanities, the arts, the social, physical, and
 life sciences, and in the professions. In 2007, the Mellon Foundation awarded a grant to add four Mellon Fellows annually in the humanities, expanding the number of fellowships awarded each year from four to eight.&nbsp; The objective of the Society is to provide
 financial and intellectual support for individuals holding advanced degrees in their fields, who are selected for their outstanding achievement, professional promise, and interdisciplinary interests. We invite applications from qualified candidates for three-year
 fellowships at the University of Michigan.</div>

&nbsp;Candidates should be near the beginning of their professional careers.&nbsp;<span class="x_Apple-converted-space">&nbsp;</span><b>Those selected for fellowships must have received the Ph.D. degree or comparable artistic or professional degree between June 1, 2012, and
 September 1, 2015</b>.&nbsp; Fellows are appointed as Assistant Professors in appropriate departments and as Postdoctoral Scholars in the Michigan Society of Fellows. They are expected to be in residence in Ann Arbor during the academic years of the fellowship,
 to teach for the equivalent of one academic year, to participate in the informal intellectual life of the Society, and to devote time to their independent research or artistic projects.&nbsp; This is not an artist-in-residence program but rather an opportunity
 to develop one’s work in conversation with fellows from a range of disciplines during the three years of the fellowship. Applications from degree candidates and recipients of the Ph.D. or comparable artistic or professional degree from the University of Michigan
 will not be considered.</div>

&nbsp;Applications will be reviewed by Society members and University faculty.&nbsp; Final selections will be made in late January by Senior Fellows of the Society.&nbsp; Eight Fellows will be selected for three-year terms to begin September 1, 2015.&nbsp; The annual stipend will
 be $55,000.</div>
