Below is a unique summer teaching opportunity at MIT for undergrads and grad students.

Think you could create an awesome summer course for advanced high school students? Then apply to teach for Junction 2013!

Junction is a project of the Educational Studies Program (ESP), an MIT student group that connects undergraduate and graduate students who want to teach to middle school and high school students who want to learn. Junction, which is geared towards motivated
high schoolers, runs four nights per week for roughly six weeks during the summer (exact dates TBD; last year's program ran July 9 through August 16)

Junction hires two types of teachers: core teachers and seminar teachers. Currently we are accepting applications for core teachers; seminar teachers will be recruited in January. Core teaching is a really awesome project: your chance to *design your own* academic
course on anything that you find exciting in Biology - or other fields too!

Example classes include:

Infectious Disease and Immunology
Advanced Human Physiology
Cancer Biology
Neurobiology
Biomedical Engineering
Computational Biology
Molecular Medicine

Core teachers are paid a stipend of $1650, and are provided a generous budget to fund exciting labs and other class activities.
