leaves comes new service opportunities! The Public Service Center
would like to remind you that our opportunities are for undergraduates
and graduates and in some cases staff are able to participate.

us rally the Institute by spreading the word, run event logistics and
help us manage the multitude of details that make the IDEAS Global
Challenge a success. Someone who's good at juggling several projects
at once, fun to work with and can anticipate upcoming needs. In
particular, the key pieces you would help us make happen:<br>

<blockquote type="cite" cite>-Marketing/publicity: We're looking for
someone who is a wordsmith and relishes the opportunity to construct
and communicate stories and information. You would help us develop the
awards ceremony program, document past teams, press releases, the
annual sponsorship report, news articles and much more. Designing
creative ads, postering around campus, and chalking the sidewalks.
Ideally, you'd have a knack for graphic design.<br>

the spring - the Poster and Judging Session, the Awards Celebration
and the Winners' Retreat. Help us with the logistics so we can run
them smoothly. Other duties and responsibilities performed as

<blockquote type="cite" cite>Ideally, you're an undergraduate
upperclassman or a graduate student who will be here for another year.
We want someone who's prepared to stay on. We're planning on
everything working out well so you'll want to join us and help run

Choice Vote</u><br>

<blockquote type="cite" cite>From April 9 to April 29th, 2011, members
of the MIT IDEAS Global Challenge Community will each be given three
votes to select the teams that will up to $1500 in community choice
awards. Help decide which of the MIT IDEAS Global Challenge teams will
win more money to make their idea happen. The community choice
awards are one type of award being given out on May 3 at the IDEAS
Global Challenge Awards Ceremony. Teams that elect to enter the
Community Choice Vote, are eligible for up to $11,500 in
implementation awards per team.</blockquote>

Community Service Work-Study: an opportunity for students with Federal
work-study to give back to the community and earn a paycheck.
Students are able to add to their work experience while
assisting nonprofit organizations with finding creative solutions to
the problems they face. Learn about summer jobs being advertised
here in Boston or design your own position anywhere around the

for summer travel</u><br>
</blockquote>
<blockquote type="cite" cite>Public Service Center grants enable
student service projects during the semester, IAP and summer.
There is a rolling deadline, with a preferred deadline for
summer travel of May 4! Grants cover travel and material expenses for
public service projects locally, nationally, or internationally!
Expedition Grants, supported by the Underclassmen Giving
Campaign and the Alumni Association, enable continuing MIT students to
travel to an unknown community and explore solutions to problems.
Students have recently used Expedition Grants to start projects in New
Orleans, China, and Ghana! Learn more at <a
