Re-Energizing MIT is an opportunity for
students to make a direct contribution to the Institute's efforts to
walk the talk when it comes to improved energy management. Using a
consulting-based approach, students will work in teams to tackle
overall energy usage on campus and reduce the environmental and
climate burdens associated with this energy use. Projects may entail
some type of data gathering and verification, cost benefit analysis,
policy analysis, or survey design and implementation. Some projects
may be more science or technology focused than others, but all will
result in demonstrable impacts that will improve life at MIT.
Enrollment preference may be given to first and second-year students
if enrollment is high, but all undergraduates are welcomed. Limited to
15 students. A required 1-hour weekly team meeting time will be
determined at the start of the semester.
