I'm one of the directors of Spring HSSP,
a program for middle and high school students that has 8-week long
classes (academic and not) taught by college students. We're looking
for more teachers to teach our classes. Specifically, we'd love to
have students in Course 7 teach fun biology classes!

Teach for Spring HSSP
2012! Spring HSSP is a long-term program in the spring during which
middle and high school students can come take up to three classes on a
variety of subjects. As a teacher, you get to design and teach an
8-class course on absolutely anything (academic or not). Previous
classes have been anything from "Vision and Computational
Photography" to "How to Question Everything and Argue with
Everybody".

Spring HSSP runs
each Saturday from Feb 18 to Apr 14 (skipping Mar 10). Each class
session will be 1-2 hours. The deadline for applying is Jan 11.

If you're looking
for a shorter time commitment, you can also teach a one-day class
for ESPrinkler or Lecture Series. ESPrinkler is like a
mini-Splash: a selection of one-time short classes that the students
can choose from. Instead of enrolling a normal eight-week class for
one of their time-blocks, students can instead choose ESPrinkler, and
pick something different every week. In addition, HSSP will be
offering lecture series, which are series of classes on a particular
general theme, taught by different teachers each week. The topics of
this year's Lecture Series have not been decided, but information on
both programs is online at <<a

Don't know what to
teach? Want to improve specific teaching skills? You can get help
brainstorming class ideas and improving your teaching with our new
Teacher Lab. There will be three different weekend sessions, each
on a different aspect of teaching. You can attend any of the three
pairs of sessions independently (although you should attend both
sessions in the pair). You can find more information about Teacher Lab
