<blockquote type="cite" cite>HI All,</blockquote>
<blockquote type="cite" cite><br></blockquote>
<blockquote type="cite" cite>We're having an information session for
our MIT DC summer internship program this Thursday, October 6 (and
another one on November 8). This program is specifically
designed for students majoring in the sciences and engineering fields
who are interested in finding out more about science and technology
policy. We will have other information sessions and I am
happy to meet with students one-on-one to give them more information
on the program. </blockquote>

<blockquote type="cite" cite>The MIT Washington Summer Internship
Program provides technically sophisticated undergraduates the
opportunity to apply their scientific and technical training to public
policy issues. The core of the program is focused on the summer
months, when students receive paid internships in the offices of
government agencies, the private sector, and advocacy groups.
Complementing the summer internships are a trip to DC during spring
break and a 12 unit HASS seminar on policymaking that meets before and
after the summer internship.</blockquote>
<blockquote type="cite" cite><br></blockquote>
<blockquote type="cite" cite>Past summer interns have worked in the
White House Office of Science & Technology, the US House of
Representatives Science Committee, the US Department of Energy, the
American Association for the Advancement of Science, NASA, the
American Association for World Health, the American Enterprise
Institute, the Congressional Research Service, the Institute of
Medicine, The Environmental Protection Agency, The Department of
