<blockquote type="cite" cite>iTeams ("Innovation Teams", course
10.807/15.371) is a class offered jointly between the Schools of
Engineering and Management. Students choose from a set of technology
projects selected by the Class Faculty from MIT labs on the basis of
their excitement and commercial potential. Working with 4-5
class peers plus an industry "Catalyst", the i-Team focuses
throughout the semester on exploring a commercialization strategy for
their technology.</blockquote>
<blockquote type="cite" cite>You will come out of the class
understanding how to build a go-to-market strategy, how to analyze a
market, how to identify practical and economically viable
applications, the importance of intellectual property, and
methodologies to engage customers. The course is led by Luis
Perez-Breva from the School of Engineering with Noubar Afeyan from
Flagship Ventures and MIT Sloan.</blockquote>
