<blockquote type="cite"><b>Summer Session</b></blockquote>
<blockquote type="cite">Pre-register for summer by 5:00 pm on
Friday, May 28. You will be assessed a late fee of $40 if you do not
pre-register by that deadline. If you are a graduate student taking
thesis or research credit, be sure to pre-register for the appropriate
subject number; check with your department if you have
questions.</blockquote>

<blockquote type="cite"><b>Fall Term</b></blockquote>
<blockquote type="cite">Pre-register for fall as completely as
possible by 5:00 pm on Friday, May 28. Once you have submitted your
pre-registration, you may modify your subject selections in WebSIS
until pre-registration closes (5:00 pm on Thursday, August 19). You
will be assessed a late fee of $40 if you do not initiate your
pre-registration by the May 28 deadline. There is also a fine of $85
if you fail to pre-register by the August 19 deadline.</blockquote>

<blockquote type="cite"><b>Special note to undergraduate
students</b></blockquote>
<blockquote type="cite">Because of changes in the HASS
Requirement that are effective for freshmen entering in Fall 2010,
there is now an additional set of icons to identify subjects that
fulfill the distribution component of the HASS Requirement. You should
continue to use the icons for HASS-D and HASS Elective subjects as
they have not changed, but they are now displayed in parentheses in
each HASS subject description. (See <a href="http://student.mit.edu/catalog/symbols.html" target="_blank"><font color="#0000FF"><u>symbol definitions</u></font></a> for more
