<blockquote type="cite" cite><b>Attention Students:</b></blockquote>
<blockquote type="cite" cite>&nbsp;</blockquote>
<blockquote type="cite" cite>The MIT Global Education and Career
Development Center (GECDC), in conjunction with Massachusetts General
Hospital, Tufts Medical Center and Children's Hospital are pleased
to announce the MIT Physician Shadow Program.</blockquote>
<blockquote type="cite" cite>&nbsp;</blockquote>
<blockquote type="cite" cite><b>The shadow program is for current MIT
students seeking the opportunity to see first hand what a typical day
is like for a physician and to gain exposure to a health profession
working environment.</b> Shadow opportunities are typically one
half-day or one full-day in length. The duration, date and time of
individual shadow experiences will be determined between the student
and the assigned physician. All shadow opportunities are expected to
be completed between January and April 2010.</blockquote>
<blockquote type="cite" cite>&nbsp;</blockquote>
<blockquote type="cite" cite><b>Sign-ups* for the 2010 MIT Physician
Shadow Program will begin on December 2, 2009. The Shadow Program
sign-up sheet will be made available in 12-185 Monday through Friday
from 9-5pm.</b><br>
<b>Note:</b> To ensure shadow opportunities for as many students as
possible, students may only shadow a physician at one
hospital.</blockquote>

<blockquote type="cite" cite>*<i> Sign-ups for the Children's
Hospital opportunities will be made available at a later date.</i><br>

<blockquote type="cite" cite><b>Requirements for participation are the
following:</b></blockquote>
<blockquote type="cite" cite>1.&nbsp;&nbsp; MIT Health
Requirements<br>
Due to hospital requirements, we will be verifying the status of your
MIT Health Requirements (immunizations etc.) with MIT Medical.&nbsp;
In order to do this<b> we require your full legal name as well as your
date of birth.</b></blockquote>
<blockquote type="cite" cite>2.&nbsp;&nbsp; Signing a Hospital Waiver
form at the time of signing up for a shadow opportunity.</blockquote>
<blockquote type="cite" cite>3.&nbsp;&nbsp; Resumes are collected at
the time of sign-ups for the shadow program. Please know your resume
is the first impression the physician you shadow will have of you. Be
sure to put care into crafting your resume by using one or more of the
above resources! For assistance with your resume please use the
walk-in hours listed below and the online resume workshop. <a

shadow opportunities be available once all first time participants
