Agrivida is an exciting new startup company developing traits and
technology for agriculture in the<br>
area of bio-energy and renewable resources. We continue to build a
team of experienced plant<br>
scientists, molecular biologists, biochemists, and chemical engineers
with varied backgrounds and<br>
experiences to play key roles in establishing the foundation of our
plant biotechnology and<br>
bioprocessing capabilities.<br>
Agrivida is seeking an undergraduate summer intern to perform the
following tasks in conjunction with<br>
mentoring from a Senior Molecular Biologist and a Senior Computational
Structural Biologist.<br>
<font size="-2">*</font> polymerase chain reaction (PCR);<br>
<font size="-2">*</font> DNA purification;<br>
<font size="-2">*</font> DNA restriction and ligation;<br>
<font size="-2">*</font> gel electrophoresis;<br>
<font size="-2">*</font> gene expression in yeast or bacteria;<br>
<font size="-2">*</font> Western analysis;<br>
<font size="-2">*</font> Enzyme Assays.<br>
Applicants should have a background in molecular biology, biochemistry
or similar fields and be able<br>
to work well in a team environment or independently. Experience with
any of the described tasks or<br>
similar molecular biology or biochemistry lab experience preferred.
Demonstrated computer literacy<br>
and outstanding written, oral, and interpersonal skills are a plus. To
