<blockquote type="cite" cite><i>MIT AIRMUN is excited to host
Professor Gene Skolnikoff to talk about the intersection of science,
technology, and politics. Professor Skolnikoff has served as part of
the White House staff in the Office of the Special Assistant to the
President for Science and Technology under Presidents Eisenhower and
Kennedy, and he played an active role as Senior Consultant to the
White House Science Office under President Carter.</i>He also served
as the Head of the Political Science Department at MIT from 1970-1974,
and as Director for the Center for International Studies from 1972 to
1987. He is the author of<i> The Elusive Transformation: Science,
Technology, and the Evolution of International Politics, an important
new book on science and technology policy and politics.</i><br>
