Are you interested in getting experience
writing and editing scientific articles? Do you want to build
connections with faculty? Do you like talking about UROPs?

If so, consider joining the staff of MURJ! MURJ is the only
campus publication solely dedicated to collecting articles and reports
on the most interesting research developments occurring at MIT and
across the globe. Thanks to its long-standing reputation and
stature within the Institute, MURJ enjoys access to some of MIT's most
illustrious faculty; recent issues of the journal have featured
Institute Professor Bob Langer (founder of the Broad Institute) and
Professor Eric Grimson (Course 6 Department Head).

Planning has already begun for MURJ's Fall 2008 issue, which is
focusing on the environment. If you would like to get involved
in MURJ as an editor, a contributor, or part of our Executive
Committee, please come to this semester's first General Body Meeting
to find out more about MURJ. The meeting will be TODAY at 10 pm
in the MURJ Office - all are welcome. The time commitment is
highly flexible yet highly rewarding.

If you cannot make the meeting but still want to be involved, just
email murj@mit.edu and we'll bring
you up to speed.

Of course, snacks will be be provided - so come hungry!

Thanks so much for your interest. We're looking forward to
seeing you all!

Sincerely,
Paul Baranay & Hannah Zhou
Editors-in-Chief, MURJ

P.S. Where is the MURJ Office, you may be wondering? It's in Student
Center on 4th floor - room 477 to be exact, past the UA Office and to
the immediate left of The Tech's office.
