The Media Lab is hosting its first OpenLAB, inviting MIT
undergraduates to an evening of food, music, and research.

Come see why the Media Lab attracts about 10% of all UROPs on
campus. Discover what the 30+ research groups are exploring,
hear from past UROPs, and tour the Lab to find research projects that
make you want to hack.

After a brief introduction, famous former UROPs--joining by
video chat from around the country--will describe how their time in
the Lab impacted their later life. Students will be able to
wander the Lab on their own, or join tour groups. Research
groups will demonstrate their current work, tools and techniques, and
discuss their visions of technology and society. Behind it all,
several DJs and electronic musicians, distributed around the building,
will keep everyone on their toes.
