Don't miss the upcoming fellowship deadline on Monday, November 13th
for the Center for International Studies (CIS) administered Luce
Scholars Program.

The Luce Scholars Program is open to seniors, graduate students,
alumni from recent classes and junior faculty. It places young
scholars from a wide variety of intellectual fields in 10-month
internships in selected countries in East and Southeast Asia.
The program is aimed specifically at those with no prior experience in
Asia. (If in doubt as to whether your prior experience disqualifies
you, please contact me.) Nominees must be American citizens not
yet 30 years old on September 1, 2007 and who have earned at least a
bachelor's degree or expect to receive one by September 1, 2007.

Prospective MIT candidates must apply through CIS. MIT/CIS is
permitted to forward TWO applications this year to the Luce
Foundation. Applications must be received by CIS by Monday, November
13th 2006.
