The<b> deadline</b> for applications is<b> noon on Friday Nov 4</b>,
so act soon.<br>

Undergraduate students can work with a faculty member on a public
service project for a community, locally or abroad. Applicants can
propose any project that builds capacity for an under-served
community. Successful applicants will identify, contact, and
collaborate with a community organization, produce a detailed project
proposal and collaboration plan, and work with a faculty member either
one-on-one or as part of a team of students.<br>

The Baker Fellowships are funded by the Baker Foundation and
administered by the MIT Public Service Center. The Baker Foundation
will pay a stipend of $10/hour. For distant sites, expenses such as
airfare, necessary ground transportation, on-site housing and food may
also be considered.<br>
