<b>REQUIREMENTS</b></font><br>
<font face="Tahoma" size="+1" color="#000000"><b></b></font></div>
<div><font face="Tahoma" size="+1" color="#000000">- Junior or senior
biology major with at least 2 years of biology courses including 2
semesters of lab experience. Intern will work with a scientist in one
of Infinity Pharmaceuticals' ongoing oncology programs</font></div>

<b>RESPONSIBILITIES<br>
<br>
</b></font><font face="Times New Roman" size="+1"
color="#000000">-</font><font face="Tahoma" size="+1" color="#000000">
Performs well-defined research assignments and routine experiments
with general supervision.<br>
</font><font face="Times New Roman" size="+1"
color="#000000">-</font><font face="Tahoma" size="+1" color="#000000">
Selects techniques, resolves problems with standard protocols, seeking
guidance on non-routine issues.<br>
- Makes observations, documents experimental data, and generates
related reports on results.<br>
- Attends project group meetings and presents progress on assigned
research project<br>
- Attends biweekly Biology Department group meeting.<br>
- Assists with routine lab equipment maintenance.<br>
- Presents work at end of internship.<br>
<br>
<b>SCIENTIFIC/TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE<br>
<br>
</b>- Experience in any of these areas: cell culture, protein
biology (e.g. protein preps, western analysis) or molecular biology
(e.g. cloning, PCR, running agarose gels)<br>
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of scientific principles, procedures
and techniques.<br>
- Understands the general scientific mechanism of how a procedure
works.<br>
- Demonstrates working knowledge of routine lab techniques such as
making up solutions.<br>

<b>Other Information <br>
<br>
</b>This is a 10-12 week internship and position has an $11/hr
stipend, which does not include room and board. Start date is
negotiable.<br>
