Biology</title></head><body>
<div>Dear Students:</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Beginning in the spring semester 2005, there will be a change in
how the 7.02 Intro to Experimental Biology and Communication lottery
will be conducted. 7.02 will be taught jointly with 10.702
in the spring. 7.02 and 10.702 will essentially have identical
content with lectures and recitations shared by both classes.
One lottery will be used to place all students who register for either
7.02 or 10.702. Students must attend the first class
session on Tuesday, February 1st at 11am in 54-100 in order to be
entered in the lottery.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>The 7.02/10.702 lottery priority beginning in Spring 2005 will be
as follows:</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>1. All Seniors</div>
<div>2. Juniors - course 7 and course 10 majors</div>
<div>3. Juniors - all other majors</div>
<div>4. All Sophomores</div>
<div>5. All Freshmen</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Please note that all sophomores will have the same priority in
the lottery, regardless of major. Declaring your major as
Biology (Course 7) , or Chemical Engineering (Course 10) in your
sophomore year will therefore not give you added priority in the
lottery. Juniors and sophomores who have been lotteried
out will have priority within their class for the lottery in future
semesters.</div>
