<li>Conducts structured interviews with parent or legal guardian of
study children
<li>Edits and reviews completed interviews- attends to complicated
coding scheme
<li>Updates and maintains research records on computer
<li>Conducts duties related to participant tracking and study
retention
<li>Assists in the scheduling of developmental testing and clinic
appointments as necessary
<li>Handles urine specimens and maintains daily log of urine
samples</ul>

<li>Bachelors Degree (or equivalent)
<li>1-3 years of experience working with low-income and minority
populations in a human services, social science or health related
setting
<li>Demonstrated experience in clinical/research interviews preferred
<li>Ability to establish rapport and trust with minority, high-risk
women and their adolescent children
<li>Ability to work in a multi-cultural, diverse, decentralized
environment
<li>Basic knowledge of computers and a variety of general software
applications such as Word. Ability to learn new software packages as
necessary.
<li>Ability to supervise, organize, prioritize, and manage office
administration activities
<li>Attention to detail required</ul>

effects of prenatal cocaine exposure on children.<br>

</i><u>Main Duties:</u><br>

<li>Meets with all families scheduled for primary care clinic each
week
<li>Provides referrals for housing, food pantries, fuel assistance,
school placement and job training as necessary
<li>Documents and maintains records on each patient in separate social
work file for confidentiality
<li>Acts as liaison with Department of Social Services and other
community agencies
<li>Makes home visits with program van driver/outreach worker
<li>Meets with team weekly to discuss each case. Reports possible
family crisis situations to the team
<li>Assists with updating of tracking records for participants
retention
<li>Assists with collection, sorting and distribution of in kind
donations</ul>

<li>Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in human services or related
field
<li>Experience working with low-income and minority populations
<li>Knowledge of local human services agencies and organizations
<li>Ability to establish rapport and trust with minority, high-risk
women and their adolescent children
<li>Willingness to make home visits as needed
<li>Ability to work in a multi-cultural, diverse, decentralized
environment as a member of health-care team.
<li>Ability to carry and deliver groceries, high chairs, clothing, car
seats and pick up and unload food and clothing donations, etc. (20-30
lbs)</ul>
