<div>Dear Biology graduate and undergraduate students:</div>

The School of Science is soliciting nominations for the School of
Science Teaching Prize for Graduate Education and Teaching Prize for
Undergraduate Education for the 2004-2005 academic year.<br>
<br>
The undergraduate prize recognizes excellence in teaching
undergraduate subjects in the School. The selection committee
wishes to emphasize that nominations will be welcomed for outstanding
teaching not only in the subjects with large enrollments (usually
those that satisfy the General Institute Requirements in Science), but
also in the upper level science subjects which tend to be less heavily
enrolled.<br>
<br>
The graduate prize recognizes excellence in the teaching of graduate
students in the School. Preference will be given to nominees who
teach mainstream subjects in which the fundamental principles of the
relevant fields are presented. Such courses typically provide
the basis for advanced education and research in the fields of
interest and prepare the students for a professional career.<br>
<br>
Nominations for both awards can be made by faculty and students to any
member of the selection committee by<b> Friday, February 18, 2005.
Each nomination should be accompanied by two letters in support of the
nomination.</b> Additional letters of support will also be
