Born out of a shared conviction that future global leaders need first
hand knowledge of the vast injustices that currently plague our world,
a group of Harvard faculty and students have spent the last year
developing an exciting new program that will provide
undergraduate students an opportunity to serve as volunteers in
overseas humanitarian organizations. The purpose of CollegeCorps
is to remove obstacles that currently prevent undergraduate students
from becoming involved in health, education and environmental work in
resource-poor countries. CollegeCorps international
training and volunteer program will make a measurable contribution to
host communities while concurrently instilling in the young adults who
take part in the program a lifelong concern for those less privileged
than themselves. CollegeCorps has already received endorsements and
letters of support from the United Nations, the United Nations
Development Programme (UNDP), and the Harvard University Committee on
Human Rights Studies.<br>

I am writing to you because I strongly believe that students at MIT
may find this opportunity compelling. We are currently accepting
applications from Boston area undergraduates only. Our
