</font><b>Science, Technology, and Society (STS) Writing Prize:<br>

</b>The Benjamin Siegel Prize of $2000 is offered to the MIT student
submitting the best written work on issues in science, technology, and
society. The prize was established in 1990 by family and friends
of the late Benjamin Siegel (S.B. 1938, PhD 1940; Chemistry), a
pioneer in the development of modern electron microscopy. It is
open to undergraduate and graduate students from any school or
department of the Institute. <br>
<br>
Please submit one copy of a single-authored work of no more than 50
pages written during the 2002-2003 academic year. Deadline for
submissions is November 13, 2003. Send entries to:<br>
