Case Western Reserve University has
created a series of new Master's Programs in Science
Entrepreneurship. These programs empower people with a
background in science as entrepreneurs with the skills to start new
high-tech ventures and grow them successfully by providing unique
training and real-world experience. The Science Entrepreneurship
Programs are a partnership between the CWRU Departments of Biology,
Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Statistics, and the
Weatherhead School of Management, which is ranked top 10 in the world
for entrepreneurship by the Financial Times.

Several companies have grown from student projects, and several
students have become leaders in the community in the areas of
technology and entrepreneurship. The Physics Entrepreneurship
Program was cited by the American Physical Society "For providing
a new paradigm for graduate education in physics" and the Science
Entrepreneurship Programs were featured at the 2002 Stanford
Roundtable on Entrepreneurship Education under the heading "Best
Practices for Entrepreneurship Centers and Programs".
