<div dir="ltr">Dear Student Groups,<br><br>The fall cycle of LEF/ARCADE funding is upon us! The next deadline is <b>October 1, 2008</b>, for events occurring between October and December, inclusive. The application is available online: <a href="http://web.mit.edu/asa/resources/large-events.html" target="_blank">http://web.mit.edu/asa/resources/large-events.html</a>, under "Application Procedures."<br>
<br>The LEF/ARCADE website is newly updated. In particular, please pay close attention to the Application Procedures section (<a href="http://web.mit.edu/asa/resources/large-events.html#application" target="_blank">http://web.mit.edu/asa/resources/large-events.html#application</a>) and the 2008-2009 dates (<a href="http://web.mit.edu/asa/resources/large-events.html#dates" target="_blank">http://web.mit.edu/asa/resources/large-events.html#dates</a>). Please follow all application procedures to ensure that your application is considered.<br>
<br>Several key LEF/ARCADE changes, and website additions, are worth pointing out:<br><br>1) Organizers of events with invited speakers and/or performers must meet with SAO staff BEFORE submitting an application.<br>2) Allocated funds are now transferred AFTER the event, pending an acceptable post-event report.<br>
3) Site update: Tips and guidelines for applications are now available (link under Application Procedures).<br>4) Site update: A sample application, with sample budget, is now available.<br>5) Site update: The application form has been updated. If you have an old copy saved from a previous funding cycle, please re-download from the website.<br>
<br>If you plan to apply this cycle for an event with an invited speaker/performer, you should contact the SAO as
soon as possible to set up your pre-application meeting.
