Dear Student Group Leaders,

Please take note of the following announcements:

1. CVC Beta Program Application Now Open (due April 2, 2014)
2. 2014-2015 ASA Executive Board

----------------------------------------------

1. CVC Beta Program Application Now Open (due April 2, 2014)

For the past year, the UA Controlled Value Card (CVC) Committee has
been working to set up a system for student organizations to have
Controlled Value Cards. The Committee has members from the UA, GSC,
DormCon, IFC, CSC, Panhel, ASA, and SAO, and all groups recognized by
those organizations may now apply for a Controlled Value Card (except
for groups recognized by the ASA with Sponsored status).

A CVC essentially acts like a pre-paid credit card that the group can
use. It allows the group to spend money without an individual member
fronting money for later reimbursement.

Interested groups can apply here <http://tinyurl.com/cvc-b-app>.
*Applying does not guarantee a card.*

The application deadline is April 2, 2014 at 11:59PM EDT. The
Committee will then review all applications and select the groups that
will participate this Spring in the Beta Program randomly within the
category of groups. For instance, only 6 of the 211 Finboard-funded
groups may get CVCs for this Beta Program. Thus, each group within
that group's *category* has an equal chance of being selected.

Your group can only apply for one CVC. If your group already has a
CVC, you are not eligible to apply for another one.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email the Committee
chairs, Cory Hernandez and Turner Bohlen, at ua-cvc-chairs at mit.edu.
Also feel free to visit the CVC Committee page here
