<p class="MsoNormal">Hope you’re doing well. My name is Nikasha, and I’m a current member of the UA Public Affairs Marketing and Communications team. Historically, the UA has had minimal engagement with a variety of student groups on the topics of advocacy
and policy. This year, we’re really trying to have diverse representation, especially within our own committee (considering that we're trying to take up more policy-focused projects).<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">On that note, we encourage you or any interested member of AAA to apply to UA Public Affairs. Last semester, we were primarily focused on Election Day programming, such as the Get Out the Vote Festival and the asynchronous classes petition.
This semester, we’ll be focusing on restructuring the UA to be more policy focused, educating students about independent advocacy, and creating bridges between student groups and their government. Even if y’all don’t have the bandwidth to participate in our
committee, we would still love to hear your personal hopes and policy goals for your student government, whether that be through emailing us or through speaking at our committee meetings.<o:p></o:p></p>
