We discuss such key periods as World War II and the internment of Japanese and Japanese Americans and Canadians; the Cold War and the Red Scare; and the Vietnam War and the Southeast Asian immigrant waves. We contextualize our understanding of culture with history readings to situate our interpretations of culture within their relevant political, social and economic contexts.</font></div>
