Python Programmers Interested in Web Application Development for Environmental
Activism<BR></FONT><BR></DIV>

<DIV>The Media Lab / Center for Future Civic Media is offering a number of UROPs
over the Summer Term.</DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV>We are developing environmental information and communications technologies
to help communities stand up to corporate polluters. In particular we are
looking for pythonistas interested in development in Django and GeoDjango,
developing web tools and interface code for organization and
documentation. </DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV>The UROP would be involved in a number of unique projects in community
building and extension - on topics ranging from activism to gas and oil drilling
to low-tech community technologies. </DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV>
<DIV>The summer goals will scale to suit the level of the particular student,
ranging from complex technical extension to community engagement and
authorship.</DIV>
