research fellows program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

features of the program:
<UL>
<LI>Carnegie runs an annual national competition to select 8-10 graduates to
be research fellows in its DC offices.
<LI>Applicants must be graduating seniors or have graduated within the past
year. They may not have started graduate school.
<LI>Successful applicants are matched with a senior associate--academics,
former government officials, lawyers and journalists from around the world--to
work on a variety of international affairs issues.
<LI>Fellowships begin August 1, 2009.
<LI>Applicants do not have to be US citizens but they must be eligible to work
in the US for the year of the fellowship.
