About mitacf-announce	English (USA)
mitacf-announce@mit.edu is a low-mid traffic list for announcements applicable to the MITACF community. mitacf-talk@mit.edu is for more general chatter and is higher traffic than mitacf-announce. Be sure to subscribe there to hear more about what people are up to. The mitacf athena/moira list is no longer an email list and serves to provide access to various files on athena and parts of our web site. If you wish to access the web directory, make sure to add your username to the (public) mitacf moira list. Any questions? Ask mitacf-admin@mit.edu. If you forget your list password, but have your MIT personal web certificate, you can always use this page to change your options and not deal with passwords. To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the mitacf-announce Archives. (The current archive is only available to the list members.)
Using mitacf-announce
To post a message to all the list members, send email to mitacf-announce@mit.edu. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to mitacf-announce
Subscribe to mitacf-announce by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a public list, which means that the list of members list is available to everyone. (but we obscure the addresses so they are not easily recognizable by spammers). Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
